The IC-PW2 is Icom’s latest high-power, HF/50 MHz linear amplifier, engineered for serious DXers and contesters who demand the highest performance. Featuring cutting-edge technology, seamless radio integration, and robust SO2R capabilities, the IC-PW2 is designed to elevate your operating experience.
In combination with the IC-7610, the IC-PW2 delivers ultra-clean transmission using Icom’s pioneering Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD) technology. This corrects amplifier distortion by applying an inverse signal via the exciter – a world-first in amateur linear amplifiers.*

The IC-PW2 supports two radio inputs and six antenna outputs, allowing fully automatic antenna switching by band and transceiver. Ideal for operators using dual receivers (such as with the IC-7610 or IC-7851), it enables real-time dual-band monitoring and independent antenna operation — effectively functioning like two amplifiers in one.
Operate efficiently on two radios with full SO2R support built into a single amplifier. The IC-PW2 includes a transmitter lockout feature to prevent simultaneous transmission and protect your equipment.

Unlike traditional amplifiers that require two bandpass filters for SO2R, the IC-PW2 can automatically share one multi-band BPF between two radios. The unit dynamically connects the BPF to the receiving radio based on transmit selection — reducing complexity and cost.
Connect preamps, attenuators, or user-supplied BPFs directly to the RX-ANT ports. The IC-PW2 intelligently manages shared filters between radios and provides band signal output connectors for automated external device switching.
When used with compatible Icom radios, the IC-PW2 offers automatic band switching, frequency tracking, and optimized performance — all with minimal setup.

A mechanical relay tuner enables band switching in 2–3 seconds, with reduced emissions during tuning. The tuner functions independently of the amplifier, providing added flexibility.
A 3-meter remote cable allows flexible placement of the amplifier. The intuitive colour touchscreen controller displays graphical antenna status and provides a modern, user-friendly interface.
